I've spent the past few days listening to American Gangster and I agree that it's a five mic album. Jay-Z has been one of my favorite rappers ever since Reasonable Doubt and this album should've been called Reasonable Doubt 2 it is that deep and insightfull. It's nice when the real emcees do great albums, unlike the garbage rappers that are clogging up the game.

[size=9]Yo!whats good? i have been reading this magazine sean 1996. i'm now 22. i have all ways be in agreence with the rating scal but. you cant tell me that kindomcome is better than AG. now ths albume is ether better or just as great. so i think some one need's to go back an leson closer to the albume. so 5 or 4.5 is needed for this albume.

I think it's wrong that artists get good ratings for just who they are instead of what their putting out. American gangster literally had only five good songs on it out of fifteen. Other than the five hot tracks on it, it's basically Kingdom Come part 2. Let's face it people, Jay hasn't put out a decent album since The Black Album...and I'm not hatin. I like Jay but seriously this album's been way too overrated this year!

I think that ever since Jay-z said he was the greatest rapper ever that people started making his songs bigger than they really were.I also think when he said that he was going to retire and than he put out another C.D. I think that was stupid and people got excited that he wasn't leaving and thats when people made his music or him to be better than he really is.
